The Humane Association of Wildlife Care and Education is a not-for-profit, professional wildlife center located on five acres in the rural countryside of Elkton in St Johns County. HAWKE president Melanie Cain-Stage has been a licensed rehabilitator and wildlife education provider for over 27 years. HAWKE depends entirely on donations and fund-raisers to provide care for injured and orphaned wild birds, mammals and reptiles. Their goal is to release a healthy, fit, and totally wild creature back to its native habitat.
