Music for The Birds Concert Benefit - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 2ND 2008 FROM 6:30 TO 10:30 P.M.

Do not miss the 20th celebration of HAWKE and Music for The Birds Concert Benefit to be held inside the St. Johns County Agricultural Center located off SR 16 across from the St Augustine Outlet Mall.

You will not want to miss the unique Florida sounds of Bob and Joline and Friends of Mine Band and other wonderful musical artists donating their talents. The event also includes a silent auction. If you care to donate an item call HAWKE at 692-1777. Brochures and business cards will be placed with the item and be featured in a handout and upcoming newsletter. Get your advance tickets early! The cost is only $12.00 for adults (tickets for kids at door only) starting January 10th at St. Johns Veterinary Clinic and Music Matters (in Riverside Plaza). Tickets for children under 12 will be $8.00 at the door. Tickets at the door for ages 12 and up will be $15.00. You can also click here to buy $15 adult tickets directly from our website. Refreshments will be available but are not included in ticket price.

UPDATE: The Driftwoods have confirmed that they will be joining us! The group Small Potatoes, who have been headliners at Gamblefest in the past, will be in Florida at that time and have agreed to do the HAWKE benefit!

Members-Only Open House - SUNDAY, APRIL 27TH 2008 FROM 1:00 TO 4:00 P.M.

Join HAWKE, The Humane Association of Wildlife Care & Education, on our Members Only Spring Open House!

See and take photos of Barney the barred owl, Liberty the red-tailed hawk, Hedwig great horned owl and more. Watch otters play and swim, and see HAWKE's tiny just hatched baby box turtles.

Eat homemade snacks under ancient oaks and enjoy a personal tour & information from HAWKE's volunteers.

It's only $25 for a single membership and $35.00 for a family membership (a couple & their young children). Donations are tax deductible and include 2 open houses and two newsletters and photos.

HAWKE depends on donations and fund-raisers to save hundreds of wild birds, mammals and reptiles each year.

SATURDAY MAY 10th 2008 - 14th Annual "Dine on The Wild Side" Benefit at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park.

Dine on the Wild Side Ticket includes: a full day's admission to the St. Augustine Alligator Farm and complete BBQ or vegetarian dinner. Jerry Stalvey cooks and serves his famous BBQ chicken) complete with baked beans, slaw, rolls, and tea. Vegetarians will have food tofu saut�ed with vegetables and served over a bed of rice from the Gypsy Cab Company; or cheese stuffed pastry shells and pasta donated by Jim's Place. Both meals will be served with dessert and tea and roll. South Beach Grill will donate 100 chocolate peanut butter towers for dessert (We buy the rest and also have brownies). Thanks to the generous donations by these fine restaurants, attendees will be able to dine on delicious food while enjoying this exotic setting.

HAWKE will have exclusive use of the Park beginning at 5:00 p.m until 9:00 p.m. Enjoy a guided tour of the bird rookery to view thousands of birds in all stages of life from courtship to nesting from the boardwalk. Bring your camera for unique photographic opportunities. Melanie Cain-Stage will present a live birds of prey show featuring hawks and owls.

Advance tickets are on sale for only $30 for ages 12 & up, and $20 for kids 5 to 11. Starting April 15th you can purchase advance tickets at the Alligator Farm, Music Matters (Riverside plaza), St Johns Vet (N. of Target), or Jims Place (Elkton). You can also purchase advance your tickets until May 8th online via HAWKE's website. Starting May 7th tickets will be $35.00 for ages 12 and up, and $20 for kids 5 to 11. Funds raised will directly benefit HAWKE's wildlife rehab and education programs.
