Saturday, February 27, 2010, from 6:30 to 10:00 pm.
Do not miss the 22nd Celebration of HAWKE and Music for the Birds Benefit Concert to be held inside the St. Johns County Agricultural Center, located off SR 16, across from the St. Augustine Outlet Mall.
You will not want to miss the unique Florida sounds of Bob and Joline, the Friends of Mine Band, Jamie Defrantes & Susan Brown, and Will Pearsell & Steve Shanholtzer (formally the Jalapeno Brothers).
Check out Bob and Joline's website at www.bobandjoline.com.
Sit and relax, listen to the music, and meet some of HAWKE's critters.
Bring a checkbook - the event also includes a silent auction.
If you care to donate a tax-deductible item or gift certificate, call HAWKE at 692-1777.
Brochures and business cards will be placed with the item. Watch our website for updates.
Refreshments will be available but are not included in ticket price.
Get your advance tickets early! The cost is only $12.50 for adults,
starting January 15 at St. Johns Vet Clinic and Music Matters, or
for $15 on our website click here, or by mail with a self-addressed
envelope: HAWKE, PO Box 188, Elkton, FL 32033. Parents can pay $8.00
at the door for children under 12. Adult tickets at the door will
be $15.
HAWKE depends on fund raisers and memberships to support the majority of expenses for rehabilitation of hundreds of injured wild birds,
mammals and reptiles each year with the goal of releasing healthy wildlife back to their natural habitat.
The bad economy and dramatic increases in fuel and other supplies have created an urgent need for operating funds.
There is no state or federal funding for wildlife rehabilitation and many centers in NE Florida have closed or are no longer accepting patients,
so fundraisers like the Music For The Birds are critical for HAWKE's mission.
If you can not come to the concert, please consider a tax deductible donation to HAWKE and you can come to HAWKE's open house this spring, check back later for details.
